Every summer, Salmonfest turns Ninilchik, Alaska into three days of music, community, and genuine Alaskan spirit. This year, Apex Trading was lucky enough to be right in the middle of it. Beyond the incredible lineup and the delicious salmon, Salmonfest gave our team something we don’t get nearly enough of: real, in-person time with the partners who make up the heart of Alaska’s cannabis industry.
If you’ve worked with us, you know Apex Trading isn’t just a wholesale cannabis software company. We see ourselves as partners in every sense of the word. Getting to shake hands, share a laugh, and hear firsthand how the season has been going for the people and brands we work with every day is the kind of thing that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
Familiar Faces Across the Fairgrounds
We made our way around the festival grounds and got to catch up with so many of the clients who make this industry what it is. Big thanks to Tasha and the whole crew at Lady Gray for taking the time to write us that wonderful letter and showing us the secret way to the Green Room. To Matt and Jenny from Kreative Konfections, who never fail to bring the energy and great conversation. We caught up with Javier from Scorpion Grass and Alton from AK Frost, swapped stories with Jessey from Arctic Bakery, and spent time with Christian and the team from Uncle Herbs. It was great connecting with Aaron from Great Northern Cannabis and Tyler from Canamo Concepts as well. It’s always good to put faces back to the names we talk to on the phone, through chat, and email.
And of course, a huge shoutout to everybody else we crossed paths with at Salmonfest this year. Whether we caught you for a quick hello at a vendor booth or a longer conversation by the main stage, we saw you, and we’re grateful you’re part of the Apex family.
Caught on Camera
We couldn’t resist grabbing a camera while we were up there, and the result is a short video that captures a little bit of that Salmonfest magic. You’ll see Andrew from Catalyst, Tyler and Aimee from MoMo’s Bakery, and Brandon and the Tanana crew all featured. And honestly, watching it back, it does a better job than words can of showing just how much genuine warmth exists between Apex and our partners. It’s not a polished commercial. It’s just real moments with real people who happen to also be some of the best in the business.
More Than Just Business
Alaska’s cannabis market is unlike anywhere else, and the people building it are some of the hardest-working, most creative folks we’ve ever had the privilege to work alongside. Salmonfest is a reminder that behind every order, every delivery, and every product on the shelf, there’s a person, or a whole crew, pouring themselves into their craft.
Apex Trading’s commitment to our Alaska partners doesn’t stop at software. It’s about showing up, staying close, and celebrating the wins together, whether that’s at a trade show, a computer screen, or a festival ground in Ninilchik with salmon on the grill and music in the air.
To everyone, thank you for making this an unforgettable Salmonfest. Here’s to many more.
